Spaced Repetition

Yo Recuerdo uses spaced repetition to help you remember words. What this means in practice is, the app should show you words when you are about to forget them.

When you are reviewing a conjugation, there are three options: Nope, Hard, and Easy.

If you say “Nope” it will show you the conjugation again in that session.

If you say “Hard” it will show you that conjugation again at the same frequency as the last time. For instance, if you haven’t seen the conjugation for a month and you said it was Hard, it will show you the conjugation again in 1 month.

If you say “Easy” it will show you that conjugation again at 1.8 times the frequency. So, if you haven’t seen the conjugation for a month and you said it was easy, it will show you that conjugation again in a little less than 2 months.

Easy Verbs

You can stop a conjugation if it is too easy for you, this helps with the basic verbs at the beginning. Stopping a conjugation will stop all the conjugations for that verb in the current mood and tense. So, if “comer” is too easy in imperative / present and you stop it, you would see any of the conjugations until you turn it back on through the verb list.

Verb Order

The first 25% of verbs are verbs that come up frequently for beginners. After that the verbs are mostly randomly ordered with the excepting of the reflexive verbs. Those all come up at the end.
